2014 50 cent from Australia depicting the HMAS Sydney and the SMS Emden after the battle of Cocos Islands. I think you can tell who won. There is a small flag on the bow of the Emden and on the stern of the the Sydney. Might be another on on the stern of the Emden too. You can read here, how some of the Germans made an epic voyage back to Europe. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battl...%C3%BCller).

Liberty Guiding the People on a 1993 French silver 100-franc coin struck to commemorate the bicentenary of the Louvre Museum in Paris: This painting by Delacroix also appeared on the French 100-franc note issued from 1978 to 1995.

Quote: Liberty Guiding the People on a 1993 French silver 100-franc coin struck to commemorate the bicentenary of the Louvre Museum in Paris A lovely coin . Let's go back 201 years in time, to 1792, in the midst of the French revolution, and one year before the opening of the Louvre museum to the public. France 1792, 5 sols. Minted in Soho, Birmingham. The Monneron brothers in Paris commissioned Matthew Boulton in Birmingham to mint copper tokens, as the need for coins exceeded what the French revolutionary government could produce. As a motive, they chose a revolutionary scene: The one-year celebration of the storming of the Bastille 14 July 1789, the start of the French Revolution. The celebration took place 14 July 1790 and the coin shows the National Guard swearing allegiance to the Republic. The guards in the back wave their flags, with the text VIVRE LIBRE OU MOURIR (Live free or die).

Here's a Cuban commemorative medal from a few years back -- 100th Anniversary (in 1950) of the first use of what became the National Flag of Cuba. The medal's obverse presents tha Cuban National Flag waving in the wind, with surrounding commemorative inscriptions: "MEDALLA COMMEMORATIVA" which translates to English as "Commemorative Medal" and "AŅO DEL CENTENARIO DE LA BANDERA DE CUBA" which translates as "100th Anniversary of the Flag of Cuba." 1950 Centennial of Cuban Flag Commemorative Medal
