1994 D Lincoln Cent With Markings On Obverse

drhscl Valued Member United States 57 Posts	Posted 06/10/2022 10:58 pm So I posted earlier today regarding a 1994 D with additional markings. I fully agreed with the opinions given of PMD. However, I started looking a little closer and measuring the length of the markings that I thought could be additional lips and their distance to what I thought might be the chin. They seemed to be the same distance as the correct lips and chin. Then I found a second 1994 D with similar markings. I'll attach the two coins side by side but the quality of the images is very poor due to compression. I'll follow up tomorrow with individual photos. I wonder if the two coins could have be subjected to multiple strikes? Both coins have a nick along the edges on either side of the obverse in similar areas. Could those have resulted from feeder issues? Report this Post to the Staff
