Need help in identifying the pictured token. I believe KANT. VERW. is an abbreviation for KANTINENVERWALTUNG (translates to Canteen Management) but I'm not sure what 9.J.R. means. It is approximately 21mm in diameter and is brass. Possibly a military mess token and 9.J.R. could stand for a regiment?

@lloyd, can you please add an image of the other side of this interesting token? I'm thinking that it will have either a 5 or a 10. There are a couple similar tokens posted at tokencatalog.com that are attributed to Amberg, Germany.

I have added a photo of the token back which is totally blank. No indication of any value. I found those on TokenCatalog but since they do not have a photo, I could not tell if there was a similarity to this token other than KANT. VERW.

It is listed in Peter Menzel's German token catalog but not much information about it.
