Last person mentioned ping test, I googled it, saw and listened to the sound, did both the silver dollars and they did ping.

The back of the eagle's neck looks suspect to me. Can you take a clearer picture?

One person wanted a closer look at the back of the neck of the Eagle. Hope you are able to see it.

Better, thanks. Your other image looked like it might be the pre-1900 reverse.

From the tests and overall appearance, I place my chips on genuine. And I'll stick with my original AU Details Cleaned.

Yeah, based on the tests it does seem genuine. The pictures just make it feel off, or I guess it could be the cleaning/polishing. Genuine AU Details Cleaned and Polished

First, Would you be willing to take clearer photos, with less flashback? One way to do this is to place the dollar on a white background, stack 3 or 4 books and place a cell phone camera on top of the books, framing the coin in the photo. Use natural light, rather than a flash or indoor lighting. That usually produces a clear picture. Thanks! EDIT: I think this may be 1904 VAM-3A.

Took them outside for natural light, took a bunch of shots and tried to select the best, compressed them down. They don't look as good as the other shots.../Users/lenan/Desktop/20220710_093559 copy.jpg/Users/lenan/Desktop/20220710_093548 copy.jpg

Since I did not see the pictures I took outside, I will try to upload and post them. I might be at the point where I have to send it off to grading. I see that PCGS and NGC are too large companies, does it matter which one? Again thanks for all the suggestions, just joined this site as I am not a coin collector and learned a lot in one day.

Those pictures are a bit better. I still say AU details, cleaned/polished. IMO the value is not high enough to spend money getting it graded.

What do you intend to do with the coin after slabbing? If you are keeping it ANACS is the way to go. If you plan on selling it PCGS is the way to go.ANACS is the least expensive. John1

It will come back cleaned. Looks like it's been rubbed with a jewelry cloth. AU Details.
