Very nice ttkoo which ones are you missing in the NZ florins. I'm missing most of them. I only have 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951 and 1965. I popped into my LCD on the weekend and scored the whole NZ penny set in fairly tidy condition. They were cheap as IMO. No-one seems interested in them. I'll be heading back there on Saturday for another poke around. The Ox moves slowly, but the Earth is patient.

Nice florins AC, I will be looking through my LCD's $1 tray on the weekend. Hopefully I can score some bargains.

George the 6th (VI) 'King Emperor'? that is an odd title.

At the time, Great Britain ruled India before independence, and KGVI was Emperor of India and King of England, Canada, Australia....etc ...etc. I also thought it odd that a New Zealand coin would have Emperor. There is an Australian 'mule' 1916 halfpenny (as rare as rocking horse # 2's) which has the obverse from an Indian 1/4 Anna. This legend reads "GEORGE V KING EMPEROR" and his robe jewels were even resplendent with an elephant. The Ox moves slowly, but the Earth is patient.

Here are a couple more coins I bought for my granddaughter. even though I am not in coloured coins I thought I would get this coin as she was born the day the Matildas bet Denmark in the round of 16 in the Women's World cup. $1 Women's World Cup coin   $5 Women's World Cup gold coin   Cheers Bryan

Just a thought, You could add some 1923 pre decimals, a hundred years old when she was born.

That's not a bad idea, although it's a pity they didn't mint a shilling for that year as it would be nice to have the full set of coins.
