Anyone know of this coin being counterfeited?

That's a pretty outstanding example, unless it's fake... I've never seen a counterfeit 46 DDR before. What's that printed on the reverse to the right of the eagle? "QUEEN A COIN"?

It's a watermark 'EUREKA COIN'. I've owned this coin for at least a decade. Seems like this would be nearly impossible to fake?

No coin is impossible to fake from a Chinese counterfeiter
I remember seeing one such counterfeiter advertising that they
could replicate any coin that you sent them.

That's a beautiful coin! Is it the FS-801 DDR?

I agree JimmyD, their counterfeiting technology wasn't good enough to produce this coin ten or 12 years ago.
I would imagine they do focus on just about any Morgan, early buffaloes and Lincoln wheat keys.

Thanks for the compliment jdsherod. I believe this is the FS-801

I have yet to see or come across a counterfeit or fake in all my years of collecting this variety. Yes it is a FS-801. I have a couple certified MS-64's I cherry picked years ago raw, (probably still in the archives here at CCF)

Yours looks as good as those, nice coin!

The 1946 DDR is my avatar here on CCF

Thank you RK55, I was thinking 64 too, maybe 65 if a TPG'r was caught on a good day.

A beauty, nothing about this coin says fake.
