I'm bummed I missed 2020, I had some cool quarters. The "O" Canada set loonie. "Canada's Wildlife Treasures" The specimen strike is stunning. "Everlasting Canadian Icons" The 50 cent coin celebrates the reverse of all the other coins and glows in the dark. Also specimen strike.

To be honest, I am curious as to what 2018 will bring:

My guess is probably some coins. My variety blows out this year! Lets start with the obvious ones Things hot up in the German climate coin stakes for a start! 2018 was the Subtropical zone showing goats sheltering in the shade of a tree in the savanna. Notice the rings are now orange. The 5 mints again show a variety of colours in the rings. And all flat!

Only 1 Kiwi circulation coins was issued in 2018, and 1 commemorative. The Arnistice 50 cent piece was released in 2018 and showed a Flanders Poppy in a beautiful background. It was our 2nd commem 50 cent and like the first in 2015, quickly disappeared into collections. NZ Post restricted quantities to 1 roll ($10 worth) and charged an additional $5 postage and packaging to stop speculators, it failed and within a week coins were selling on Trade me for $2 or more each. Now you can not find them at all outside collections (I have nearly 100 of my own!) A very rare one with no coloured centre. These coins were minted in Canada. Ironically standard 50 cent coins were also minted and this was the only circulation coin minted for 2018 after none in 2017. The Australians kept up their bubblegum coins though. Commonwealth games in Goldcoast, 3 coins and a plain Invictus games one. These are better their own "Armistice" coin and a very bright one for the Eternal Flame. Most early coloured $2 were based around war themes, but lately they have branched out into childrens tv, sporting events and other silly bubblegum themes.

2018 was the first year of the British A-Z 10p coins. Only 220,000 of each design were released into circulation: J for Jubilee S for Stonehenge T for Tea Y for Yeoman Warder There were also numerous 50p designs. Here's the Representation of the People Act, Paddington at Buckingham Palace and Mrs Tittlemouse and Flopsy Bunny from the Beatrix Potter series: Britannia was still 'ruling the waves' on the silver 1-ounce bullion coin:

Nice selection, triggersmob! Germany 2 euros - Helmut Schmidt: Commemorating the statesman who served as West Germany's Chancellor from 1974-1982: France 2 euros - Simone Veil. French politician and former President of the European Parliament. The seemingly nonsensical number under her portrait is her prisoner number from Auschwitz where she was detained during WW2: 2018 penny from Gibraltar commemorating Calpe House, an establishment that provides care and accommodation for residents of Gibraltar who need to come to London for medical reasons:
