I know I'm not supposed to do this, but I was busy basically all day yesterday, and in the minutes I had free I completely forgot to post the coin. And then I miscalculated the time (all those DST moves made me confused) and thought I could still post it. Please delete my post if it's out of line (but notify me, I'll post it as a separate thread then).

[I'd have loved to include a coin from 1943 but apparently I don't have one photographed. My next possible entry is 1942. I also had a response to an earlier comment but it fits better at the 1942 coin anyway.]

Denver mint, 0.640 silver.

I gather that the Netherlands was occupied by the Nazis at the time, so the colonies were the only part under the previous government, and continued issuing the old silver series.
(Though under a new denomination figure - the Dutch coins said 10 cents!)

Apparently after liberation the mainland Netherlands did not continue the series, but the colonial Netherlands Antilles did for a while, now under their new name. IIRC a few of their coins had been posted in this thread before.
