2016 Beatrix Potter 50p.. One of many over several years. 2016 Brittania £2 - I rather like this one, unfortunately since 2016 this is the only one I've ever found!

The French regional series of 10-euro coins in 2016 showed Saint-Exupery's Little Prince in various places around France, such as Chambord Castle... ... La Rochelle... ... Lyon... ... and Paris: Common reverse:

As usual, I apologize for the lack of photo quality. British Antarctic Territory, 2 pounds 2016, featuring a cachalot (sperm whale). This was one of my OFEC purchases, back when 300 countries on Numista was still an attainable goal [I didn't make it, by the way; I was only up to 293 when the reorganization hit]. I hoped to get a British Antarctic Territory coin that actually commemorated something relevant to the Antarctic, but didn't jump on it the first time I saw some, and the second time I went to that shop there weren't any still left, so ultimately (another several months later) I ended up going with this sperm whale. I did get an actually-relevant commemorative for South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands; but it's dated 2013 and I'll have to post it on the corresponding day.

My last post of the day - 2016 Zambia 10 ngwee: A treasured souvenir of the beautiful and infinitely patient bank clerk in Livingstone who went right through her till to give me as wide a range as possible of Zambian coins and notes in exchange for the high-denomination note I had got from the ATM...

I remembered this coin partway through my previous post, but didn't think it was close enough to include in the same entry, so I had to wait until another entry. Fortunately there was one by the time I finished the write-up India, 2 rupees, 2016. (Don't recall which mint and can't see it on the photo.) I saw this coin sitting on a cash register in a big grocery store in Pionersky (Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia) in August 2016; I asked the cashier, they said that they accidentally noticed that someone spent it as a 2 ruble coin (I guess it does look kind of similar...), and that they don't really need it, so I can have it for 2 rubles. Obviously I took it for 2 rubles! At the time the face value was actually roughly at par, but it was still a nice addition for my collection.

A Christmas gift I got in 2020 in my Numista secret Santa. UK £20 coin for the Queens 90th birthday in 2016. It is actually ½ ounce pure silver (.9999) and face value is worth more than the melt value for once!
