The last round pound before swapping to the new bimetallic in 2016. A new reverse as well for the final year which I particularly like.

Well Anzac was a big thing for us, it was our coming of nationhood in a way.

2014 was an interesting year for New Zealand. The coins issued were the 10c, 20c, 50c and $2. The $1 had been issued in 2013 and was not issued in 2014.

There are 2 types of 20c as there was 2 date types, wide date and narrow date.

The wide date is more scarce (5x less common than the narrow date) and is more like the coins of 2006 and 2008, whereas the narrow date is more like the coins from 2015 onwards. There is also more detail on Pukaki with the narrow date coins.

Just one fancy $2 coin was issued in 2014 and only the 3rd coloured one ever. The Bubblegum topics had not begun yet (2016 onwards).

Theme is Remembrance as 2014 was the 100th anniversary of WW1 starting and 75th anniversary of WW2 starting. I agree that War themes were being milked to death and the 2014 - 2018 period saw a steady stream of coins and stamps coming out of both NZ and Australia. Not to take away the braveness and sacrifice, it did become overkill.

My 2014 Aussie line up includes the 5c to 20c and a Anzac dollar and standard $2 coin

Fiji also had some coinage in 2014 and this was sans her Majesty who disappeared off the coins in 2010 after Fiji was briefly booted out of the Commonwealth for its 4th coup in 25 years.
