Not really the kind of coin you'd expect to see this early in the run is it?

West African States, 250 francs, 1996. The date is actually entirely worn off, but is uniquely identifiable by the (barely legible) bee privy mark.
It's one of about two or three lowball bimetallic coins I've ever seen (including pictures), though it wouldn't surprise me if those actually aren't very rare, just not actively collected.

A crop of the privy mark area. It is, indeed, barely legible.

1996 Australian mint set only10 cent coin found in circulation today.

The odds of ever finding one of these in circulation is miniscule. The odds of finding one on the same day that this thread is on the year 1996 is mind-boggling.

1995 is one of my most sparse years. It is the period of littlest interest for me. Too far from the classics, and too far away from modern bubblegum coins.

The entire output for New Zealand, just the lowly 5 cents was issued in 1995. It is the same for 1994 and then nothing until 1991.

My Australian group for the ninety five includes the United Nations 20c coin, by this stage the 20c along the 50c and $1 was being used for occasional commemoratives, but nothing like the bubblegummery of the post 2000 era and especially post 2020 era!

Fiji introduced their first $1 coin in 1995. The coin was aluminium brass and showed a Saqamoli or a Fijian water calabash vessel.

They also issued the coin each year through to 2000, the rest of these are 1990s dates

As NumisRob said the 5 cent had a special one off issue as well

Also a Norwegian 10 Kroner coin, which has a symbolic depiction of a "Stave" church, this was a medieval church built out of wood and often very tall and intricate. One from the 1100s became significant in 1993 when a dememted Satanic metal group burnt it down and then killed each other!

That is very cool. The amount of circulation this has seen in just 25 years is ridiculous.
