I recently took stroll through through an antique store that's local to me and I managed to pick up this 1889-CC Morgan for $800. I think that the coin is good enough for a F12 grade if I send it to PCGS but I fear that it might come back a VG10 due to the lack if detail in the cotton blossoms. Any thoughts?   |

The look genuine. I agree that the coin is in the VG10 range for a grade.

Very nice coin! I think it is on the verge of F-12, but I am calling it a higher end VG-10.

Looks dipped or otherwise cleaned. Overly bright for the grade with some darker areas evident. I'd be at F details. I worry about hairlines under magnification. Check it with a loupe.
