I would like to get your opinion on this coin's grade andpossible value. The coin has a yellow tint. Do you think there is any way to restore the silver color without destroying it?    |

VF Details - environmental damage
Looks like a metal detector find.
50 years ago I would have made a paste of baking soda and water and tried improving it's appearance by scrubbing off the corrosion and gunk. It's considered a no-no to do that now.
Today you could start off with soap and water and progressively try other things to see if you can improve it.
The coin is a cull now and no matter what you do to it it'll still be a cull when you are done with it (my opinion).

Silver doesn't come out of the ground looking like that . Was subject to some other kind of environmental issue . Mid VF details . A cull as mentioned , too far gone to pretty her up . Value maybe a little more than melt .  |

Be interesting to send it in to ANACS for restoration and grading. They do a great job and its cheap. May be worth seeing the end result.

Agree with low-VF details. Appears corroded and damaged, with heavy contact marks over the portrait. I expect some collectors would want it as a cheap hole-filler.
If someone else wants to pay for it, I would be interested in seeing what an ANACS restoration would do.

Here are two more images. From the comments about the coin being damaged and not worth much, I used acetone to help with the tint and bring out more details.

It is damaged, it's extremely obvious. Throw it up in ebay and see what it brings. You realize when you know how to think, it empowers you far beyond those who know only what to think.
