2004 seems like sticky tape but it's flaking silver unless somebody sprayed over sticky tape but I don't think this is
the case.

Next coin is a 1977 Australian 50 cent silver jubilee.  Found in circulation.  The back has a few scratches / dings but the front is superb. |

Thanks jbuck can you look at the lamination coin I posted here earlier. Oh and redlock I have many years in these 50 pfennig coins including 1950's thank you for information regarding these coins. |

Correct. It looks like glue, adhesive, or some other polymerized substance stuck to the coin. If so, acetone should remove it. If not, then more examination will be needed. Keep in mind I only have the photo for assessment. Seeing in-hand could result in a different hypothesis.

I will give it a go just a little too try remove substance, video of this coin would be much better.

One thing I've noticed on this coin is it has a die crack going diagonally from claw too number 5 and too the rim.
