Cool find coin roll hunting. It is a 1903 "V" nickel. It is in terrible shape but a cool find all the same. *** Edited by Staff to Add Year to Title. Titles are Important! ***  |

The majority of coin roll hunters go an entire lifetime without finding a single V nickel. You found 2 in the same week? You realize when you know how to think, it empowers you far beyond those who know only what to think.

It was awesome! I think I am wearing out my welcome at my bank:) I have already looked through all of the pennies that they have, now I am working on their nickels.

I actually think it has eye appeal as is. It has a mystery in its appearance. Congrats! When I was about 10 in the early 90s, we were visiting my grandmother near Los Angeles. She handed me a 1950s silver certificate and a 1903 V nickel that she had found lost in the back of an old dresser drawer. It's kind of where this coin collecting journey all started for me. Now my daughter and I are only a few Vs short of a set that will have 5 generations of inclusions in it. 1903 Vs in low condition are special! |
