The 2003 2 zl could be classified as a circulation piece. It is commemorative but it's non-proof and there are vast amounts of those.

I believe they are also looking for circulating coins.

Well, if the Polish 10 zl is included, then the Australia piece should be on the list as well.

Quote: In fact I don't ever remember getting a 25 Peseta minted after 1988.
OOPS! Just went thru a box of my darkies. Found one, A 1997M. Man what a beautiful coin. There are 12 types of 25 Pesetas with hole

Quote: Well, if the Polish 10 zl is included, then the Australia piece should be on the list as well. That's why I questioned whether the 2 and 10zl should be included. smarknow will have to decide what their list includes as far as commems. I had a look on Don's WCG and he has a quite handy section where you can flip through each country to see just the currently circulating coins, set by set. I am not sure how accurate it is, but it is certainly up to date reflecting the Jan 2009 changes. There were no more that we haven't already named. (The Polish coins do not include the 2 or 10zl, so like I say, I don't know how accurate it is) The thing is with more and more countries now there are multiple designs for the same denomination. You only have to look at the US quarter or UK pound etc.

Quote: That's why I questioned whether the 2 and 10zl should be included. I know. And I have voiced my opinion that the 2 zl can be included. While the 10 zl shouldn't - though on the other hand you theoretically could pay with it Quote: smarknow will have to decide what their list includes as far as commems. Yes, this issue needs to be settled

Ok, it was hard to decide because of all nice commemorative coins but I really just need the sort of coins people use to pay with today. I let the 2 Zloty coin be in the list because DagonX and DL20K thinks you could find it in circulation sometimes, even if its an commemorative coin. I didn't take the 25 Piastres because I think they don't use any coins in Egypt even if they exist. I hope I am right in that one.

Really? Where did you find that out? Maybe Egcollector could answer that one.

Now I am not sure any more. I searched in Wikipedia for Egyptian pound. In the English version it says:
Coins, even for the smallest amounts, are encountered much less frequently than notes but coins down to 5 qirsh remain legal currency.
but in the German version it says:
Da in Ägypten Geld entweder als einfach zusammengefaltetes Bündel, ggf. mit Geldklammer, oder in Portemonnaies ohne Münzfach transportiert wird, spielen I'm alltäglichen Zahlungsverkehr Münzen keine Rolle, es kursieren praktisch nur Banknoten.
which shortly means that there is practically only paper money circulating
