The reverse of this issue is one of the easiest to photograph luster, and this coin isn't showing much. I'm leaning towards Unc details, overdipped.

I'll suggest mid-MS, likely MS63/MS64 or so.

Important to note that the chatter marks on BTW cheek are in fact original planchet marks and not post strike hits. This design is known for an incomplete strike at that location and finding an example without the planchet marks is a real challenge.

I can't say the same for the gash on the upper cheek adjacent to the nose - that is a post strike hit and factors into my grade opinion.

I'm going to suggest the Mods move this to the US Commemorative forum for proper attention.

I'm not familiar with issues related to planchet or strike on these. looks like some rub on the high points of the profile. light/shadowing could be altering what we are seeing. I'm going with MS64

If the first image is an accurate reflection of the coin's state of preservation, I'd have to say AU due to multiple areas of wear/metal loss on the design's obverse high points (the dark areas in the image).
