The 57th annual Hot Springs Coin show starts tomorrow in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It's a well-attended show with a nice selection of coins, currency and bullion from dealers from Arkansas and surrounding states. Hot Springs is a beautiful town not far from Little Rock; if you happen to be in the area, take a little detour and visit the show! And, once you're done there you can always head to the Oaklawn horse track and casino to get rid of any money you didn't spend at the show...

Thanks, hfjacinto! We're about full now, which a month ago was not a certainty. Booked my last dealer today (and I thought I procrastinated! ). It's usually a busy show, and with the weather being nice that will help even more. I spent several hours today at the hotel finalizing the table setup - there are always last minute changes and usually a few surprises. It'll be 3 long days - I'll be there before 7am each day and won't be leaving until probably 7pm each evening. Sort of reminds me of the days I did real work... Though you deal with a lot of aggravation organizing a show, it's actually quite enjoyable overall.

Quote: Post a few pictures of you can. I'll do that, and thanks for the reminder! I meant to do that last year (and the year before ), but as I stay a little busy during the show I tend to forget. I even forgot to eat lunch today, which is not something I do very often . I've made a note to myself, so maybe that will help.

Just strap a GoPro to your head and give us some frame grabs from your tour around the floor.

A quick update on the show; though this is now a small show (about 50 tables), it's usually well-attended and has many long-time "regular" dealers. A couple of our regular dealers set up here after the FUN show and then head down to the Houston show afterwards. While I still had tables to book a couple weeks ago, we were 100% full with the last 2 empty tables actually being bought during the show itself. Business was very brisk overall, with a lot of buying and selling taking place. Thursday afternoon had light attendance (not surprising) but the ones who came were buying, including a number of "early birds". Friday was busy, but we did have a lot of folks just browsing. Saturday was very busy from opening until about 3, and a lot of business was being done. From my conversations with them, all of the dealers were pleased with the show. We had nice weather which also helped with the turnout. Personally, I was very happy with how it went. Just a couple pics - the venue is small but has beautiful views out over Lake Hamilton from 3 sides of the conference room. Here's a look west from the conference room: And, a quick look over one side of the room:
