1970 D Quarter On The Reverse By The Nose What Is It And Is It Another Clash

prisbrey1 Pillar of the Community United States 936 Posts	Posted 10/18/2022 11:19 am ok coop I have another one for you guys I have a 1970 D quarter what is that under the the nose on the obverse and on the reverse there is a line going down from the beak to the shoulder and there is a line down from the back of the head through the right wing to the last A of america is it a clash and back to the obverse of the coin is the t of liberty is it doubled by chance or what is it and what about his ear where them lins are under his ear it looks raised to me plus the back of his head is a fuzzy spot is it part of the clash if its a clash I'm pretty sure it is but I want your guys opinion on it Report this Post to the Staff

I see heavy scratches on the obv and rev, plus a small bump under The eagle's beak. That might be a die dent or just other random damage. I'm not seeing any doubling, but a closeup image of that letter Y could help to confirm. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/19/2022 12:06 pm More of a coin flattening issue. Note the off ramp look on under the right side of the 'T'? The left side could be a die chip starting there. Contact mark on the 'Y' and the out side edge of the reeds are just coin damage from vending machines. Report this Post to the Staff
