Back again with a 68c roll!
I was at the bank yesterday and decided to get more rolls even though I have half a box to go through.
Glad I did because as I sat in the car sampling 5 rolls, I found wheats in 4 of them.
This part of Fl. doesn't produce many wheats in rolls. I might get 1-2 in a box. Slim Pickens!
Here is the best roll of that small sample.
It had two dimes (89 & 65), 5 wheats (46, 47, 55, 55D, & 58), a 1970 Canadian cent, 11 more coppers, and
only 5 shield cents!, with 2019 being the newest.
I have high hopes for these rolls. So many wheats and a pair of dimes lead me to think these are old rolls that
were not picked over by another collector. An eagle-eyed collector would not have left dimes in a roll.
Previously, I've come across rolls with high concentration of memorial cents but believe they may have been a dump since nothing interesting turned up.
Lately the rolls only have 5-7 coppers per roll (10% -15%). The # of coppers have been steadily declining in recent years.
But these rolls have me eagerly looking forward to the search again.
Anyways, enough yacking. Here's a couple of images.
