Good morning to the whole forum
I cannot classify this denarius, I believe Roman , which has a variety with the engraving of the figure only on the reverse and on the recto ita has the same engraving.
Thank you for all the replies

Not familiar with this ancient? coin type, but I suspect that it may be the ancient equivalent of what modern collectors would call a 'pattern' (experimental or trial) coin, and not intended for circulation.

If my assumption is correct, it would be very rare.

Another assumption would suggest that this piece is a modern fantasy coin, in an ancient style and method of manufacture.

The odd reverse appears to be the result of a type of striking error called a "brockage". The coin itself, if genuine, is an issue of Marc Antony. I'm skeptical.

thank you very much for the cataloging of the coin .
I checked various sites to get an idea on the authenticity , sice it is a Marco Antonio coin and is listed as rarity r4 , given the importance of the coini send it to PCGS for an evaluation.
Best regard Simone

I was initially sceptical about this coin but have spent a little while looking at known examples. It appears to be a die match to the following coin.
