At least the luster is apparent, but there's a lot still hidden in these images.

I agree.... So I will wait to have it in hand, of course. The gold shops here do not see a numismatic premium. They only sell by weight; is anyone seeing any counterfeit red flags? I looked up a few and haven't seen them, but I am a complete novice.

Looks good to me! Booming luster with good eye appeal. If you hold the coin in hand and it feels like heavy gold, buy it!

Finally had this one in hand today... I don't see evidence of tooling or casting; nice luster in hand; the rim is in three parts as I've read authentic specimens are minted. Weighs 16.71 g My feeling is the coin is an authentic 1910-d $10 gold piece... Anyone see anything I'm missing?
Thank you all very much!

MS-63. Nice example.

Design wise:
I love the design artwork of St Gauden's $20 Double Eagle, but
always had some problem with the obverse of the $10 St Gauden's Eagle.
Reverse nicely balanced but
obverse Indian head off center to one side (unbalanced)

I am well aware that others disagree with me. That's OK.

Nice strike on this one. I think the marks on the face will hold this one to MS-63. Still a nice one.
