Not a die crack. It is were a die crack it would rise above the design and connect. One looks like a die ("Dye" is an addition by color) chip. It would rise above the design:

Note how it flows across the fields and this one also has a die chip on the die crack.

This one connects to the rim.

Small die crack that connects to a small Die Cud.

When the die breaks down, you can see how the die crack opens on the die:

Top image on the left. Note the void that opens? That void will leave a raised area on the coins struck with die crack. Thus it flows together in a raised line.

CoopHome: Why do die cracks rise above the design on coins? the splitting of the die when it cracks, leaves a gag on the die. this void then is shown as a raised line on a die.
