Quote: As my interest in Medallic Art Company (MACO) medals grew, a goal took shape: Obtain at least one bronze example of the key series medals struck by MACO. These are the series where I met the goal; in the highlighted examples, I obtained a complete set. Well done!

Quote: I'm not sure if I'll ever go for the 1901 proofs. Now I have to eat my words. I just bought a 1901 PR63 Reverse 2, so add another * to my list on the previous page. I lazily put in a low bid this morning and was surprised that I won. Things looked pretty slow on Heritage tonight while I was watching for my lot to come up. Very few snipers. Unfortunately now I'm committed to getting the PR Reverse 3. jbuck will appreciate this - I haven't bought a proof coin since 1971, the brown box Ike. I'll have to wait for delivery to see if the eye appeal is any better than the images, but the reverse is what I'm after on these and it seems to have a bit of cameo.

I hope to complete my Canadian Commemorative Proof Silver Dollar collection. There are 10 that I am presently missing. My latest acquisition this week was the 2012 Celebrating the 100th Grey Cup (Limited Edition).

Another one checked off my list. 1901-S Reverse 2 "thin ribbon" PCGS VG10. This is the common reverse type for 1901-S, but as a semi-key, not cheap. I thought it would go well with its companion 1901-S Reverse 3 "thick ribbon" that I bought raw almost 4 years ago early in this silly project. Now I have two left in order to have all the transition varieties of Barber dimes. That we know of...

Thanks. It's funny because I was actually bidding on the other 1901 Proof type I need at GC, and went to ebay to see what other certified examples might be selling for. I saw the 1901-S as a BIN and the price was in line with price guides and previous sales for a change, instead of being wildly high. The proof went way over what I thought it was worth so I bought the 1901-S instead. Whoever had it graded sprang for TrueView too, which I thought was interesting.

Another one checked off, awaiting delivery. 1904-S Reverse 3 in EF40, the "correct" one for the year. Now I only have the 1901 Proof Reverse 3 left. I'm experiencing two feelings - what do I do next, and why did I do this in the first place. 1904-S Rev 3 "thick ribbon" goes with 1904-S Rev 2 "thin ribbon" (anomaly) picked up 4 years ago
