to the CCF

This has been a very informative topic - and so far your coin is falling way short of the evidence needed to demonstrate another rare example.

In 1975 the mint did not make a bicentennial proof set. In 1975 the mint did make an uncirculated PD set with all coins in it,
then in 1976 they made a 'bicentennial set that ONLY contained the Quarter, Half and full dollar - this was made in both uncirculated and proof sets. (A red envelope for the uncirculated, the cons in cello, the proof set was a 3-coin display set that the user had to assemble (no dimes in that either.)
The mint also made a regular proof set for 1975 and 1976

The last images you posted of your dime looks very much like a business strike coin.
If you took it out of the set, can you post up a picture of the full set please?

Bicentenary set was well explain by DEAR, except forgot to say that was another set like a booklet with the quarter, halve and dollar encapsulated in a funny plastic capsule with a few pages of history of US. Those booklets was available only to the museum for a limited time. Other booklet like this it is the Purchase of Louisiana and etc.

So the OP to show the set and the full really coin photos.

Can anyone that replied tell me have they ever seen a picture of a Carson City proof stamped image. I have a 1909 vdb. And it has that very same image you see coming from the image exposed all over the obverse. That's not by chance it's in the design. As for the set that's long gone.

Agree, this doesn't appear to be a proof strike.

then so is the provenance of this coin as well, as you now have no proof of where it came from..

He seems to think this Lincoln 1909 cent has some markers on the obverse that shouldnt be there. which look like carson city proof image apparently to him.

Can anyone that replied tell me have they ever seen a picture of a Carson City proof stamped image.it has that very same image you see coming from the image exposed all over the obverse. That's not by chance it's in the design. ...awaiting better images.

And the earlier post for the 1975 dime seems to suggest he thinks the obverse and reverse have some kind of marks or mintmark in places where they should not be including possibly a S mint mark.

You will find it stamped on verious places on obverse and reverse. I also discovered within May example the missing S mint mark.

Ohh boy, this has been an entertaining thread that I have been following...

May I add that the Carson City mintmark branch has absolutely nothing to do with any of the Lincoln cents whatsoever... That branch closed permanently in 1894 and though the building is still around, the minting machinery is long gone. Paridolia must be coming into play on said 1909...

What this has to do with the OP of the 1975 proof dime no S, I do not know?

I'm starting to think somebody fed the text into one of those Chat AI models asking for the next post. Either that or somebody's cat has taken over the conversation...

Follow that stem from East to South as it opens look at it real good and you will see cc. As I did after watching a YouTube video and there it was. The same as the video . That's enough information for me to have it grade.

He's done here.
