I just purchased a 1980 U.S. Mint set in OGP. In the Denver cellophane package there are 2 SBA-D coins and no SBA-S coin. The package does not appear to have been tampers with or altered.

There isn't a problem returning the merchandise tothe seller.

Has anyone ever experienced something like this?

The most common error in this set is to have no D mint dollar and have a Denver quarter in its place.

Lots of sets are plagued by having wrong coins in them. The '69-D is probably the worst and the '80-D second worst.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

It's not all that unusual. Keep it if you like it.

It is just a packaging error. They are kind of interesting but are not considered to be "mint errors" and usually only a couple dollars to the value of the set.
