Nice coins. I am disappointed to see CCCS continue to use "slang" on their descriptions - it is unprofessional and just plain ignorant of error coin nomenclature.
Question for you - did you submit it with the proper description (Type 1 counter clash)?

Before I sent these into CCCS I had a good talk with them and they had to be hard slabbed so you can see the die clash and markers. If you put them in a soft slab theres to many layers of plastic and its very hard to see even if you can see it. I inspected the coins and the 00s and all the markers just stand out perfectly in the hard slab. As for the counter clash #1 it was submitted on my form and written on each 2x2 but it should have been added on the description. I'm just going to take my label maker and add it on myself. CCCS told me they only certified 3 [different die set] of these coins prior to the ones I sent in. The picture here is taken through the hard plastic holder, very impressive to take that with a microscope. All in all CCCS did an excellent job!!

I kinda did a fast picture when I did that, just a note that the micro camera is magnifying the plastic and the coin has to be at a slight angle. Its still do able.

I just came across this thread while doing research on "ghost dates". The presence of two 2003 Canada cent dies with faint, correctly-facing dates in similar positions on the obverse is not consistent with a floating (Type 2) counterclash. Most floating counterclashes appear on the same face as the design from which they're derived. The locations should be random. Most floating counterclashes are accompanied by other signs of die damage. I'm wondering if we're looking at accidental or intentional contact between a reverse working hub and an obverse working die. Thoughts?

Actually, light contact between a working hub and working die should generate much narrower numerals. So, we're back to the floating counterclash scenario.

I've been trying to reach chadcoins to get permission to reproduce one or more of his photos for an upcoming Collectors' Clearinghouse column. No response so far. If any of you know how to reach him outside of a CoinCommunity PM, please do so on my behalf. Thanks.

My article on these and other "ghost dates" has now appeared in the latest online edition of Coin World (March 23rd).
