Is anyone aware of a 1940 S Jefferson nickel variety in which Jefferson's pony tail is almost non existent? The bridge of his nose is also missing as well.

I'll try to get some pics uploaded so everyone can take a look.

I pulled it from a roll I was searching through last night.

Could be an overpolished die or a weak strike; looking forward to the pics!

I can't get the camera I have to take a close enough picture. I'll have to look into seeing what a cheap option is so I can start putting some good pictures on my posts.

That's pretty much all it would be - just a weak strike or a polished die. Nothing to bother with spending money to photograph. Keep trying.
