This one isn't the highest grade broadstruck nickel I've had around, but I think it's the largest. It goes wall to wall in a quarter 2x2. Plus it's not so shabby and seems to have full steps, so it's going in the collection.

That is indeed impressive.

I'm a bit surprised the central devices on both sides remain so well struck given the amount of metal that needed to be displaced to achieve such a large diameter.

I assume therefore the 'fin' (my term) from K7 to K11 must be very thin accordingly.

Thanks so much for all the kind words! It's a dandy of a broadstrike and reminds me that me photo set up still just isn't up to photographing non-copper coins very well. I use a bulb that brings out the correct color for copper, but tints silver-colored coins a bit yellow.
