Perhaps a good way would be to give these coins to a young numismatist. Or you can purchase a special tool for nickels of the Nic-A-Date type in order to find out the date of your coin.

Here is one use (there's no way to be certain, but I suspect these are all dateless) - the markers on my pool table!

Hi everyone,
I've looked into markers to identify these Buffalos but information is quite spattered and difficult to find.
Does anyone know of a site which might be more complete and concise in helping identify Buffalo nickels?

I'm not aware of any site to identify dateless Buffalo nickels. I've donated to the Boy Scouts in the past. They have a merit badge for coin collecting.
