Hi Georgiestar

Im not very familiar with coins from the UK,, but somethings seem to be the same .

Third coin, looks like all damage,, parking lot coin !!!

Second coin could either be a very weakly sruck coin or possibly a Struck Through Grease,, my opinion is weakly struck.

The first appears to be the result of failing dies,, severely cracked and chipped.

I also am not an expert on errors, but the first coin looks like post-Mint damage to me. The third also appears that way.

The second coin looks weakly struck.

Concur.

First coin looks like it got caught in something spinning, or someone used it to try to tighten a screw.

The second coin does look weakly struck, but it may simply be a poorly made die. New Zealand coins from around 1985 are noted for a similar effect (strong lettering, portrait fading away). Check other 1997 pennies and compare it.

The third coin is what's known in the trade as "roadkill", 'cause that's probably what happened to the poor thing.

You guys are probly right the first coin maybe damage, but the reverse pic showing the raised areas extending onto the rim look like die cracks to me.

i suspected that the first and third were more likely to be something else..but everyone seems to have mixed views!
I will check info on the penny though

The top and bottom coins are damage and the middle one is weakly struck.
