And with yesterday's story about the Washington Monument Association half dollars, my long-running series of "What If?" stories about failed US commemorative coin proposals during the classic era (1873-1969) came to an end - unless I uncover a few more! I hope folks found them interesting, and send a "Thank You!" out to those who engaged in the discussion and/or left positive feedback over the years.
I've covered about 200 such failed proposals, and am fairly certain the list here on CCF is the most complete list of such bills and resolutions a US commemorative coin enthusiast will encounter. It is a topic that has always interested me, so it was only natural that I began researching it. I've enjoyed sharing my original research findings.
I have a short run of "What If? Phantom" stories that I will begin posting soon, but it is a small grouping and will be completed quickly.

I heartily agree with this statement - and whatever is next in your research interests you have certainly blessed all of us with your writing and have left a rich historical legacy for future generations to enjoy. Thank you my friend.

@commems, I've truly enjoyed the "What If?" series of stories since I've been a member of this forum. Each one has been well-researched and nicely presented, and I can definitely say I've learned a great deal from these highly-informative stories!
Thank you, your time and significant effort you have put into these (and your other topics!) is very much appreciated!
