A few years ago my daughter told me that one of us has to be an adult. I told her it may as well be her.

My daughter is the oldest and so she has a natural sense of responsibility that never went over well with her two younger brothers. When I turned fifty many years ago she decided that she would be the responsible one in our relationship.
