17 mm, 1.27 grams. Found in a collectors estate. No idea actually. I am not going to say siliqua, I just post it here and see what you folks think.

It's a bronze GLORIA EXERCITVS that has been over cleaned.

Victor:

I understand. Can you look at this color comparison? That is what is confusing me. Overcleaned but to this color seems odd to me. I see bronze under it, but a very thin coin with a thin silver plate is what it looked like to me. But why, if that is so?

The other option is that it's a cast replica, made of pewter or something else other than bronze or brass.

In the first half of a second of seeing the image my brain perceived it as cast. But I don't really have anything to back that up.

There is a huge casting sprue. It can be difficult sometimes to distinguish between a cast coin and a cast flan.

Kushanshah;

OK so the bronze one sees in front or the bust to the right for example means this is an extremely thin cast copper coin that was plated silver chemically perhaps as Victor mentions could create such a thing?

Well, my first guess was over cleaning and silver paint, but I never knew about the JAX silver plating solution. Only way to tell, is to soak it in paint remover. Not sure that it is cast though. I would keep it in the lot and mention that it is not silver and could be plated with paint. Not sure on what to even say on that one.

Feels good to be posting again.
