The mint shows a 2026-W Enhanced Uncirculated ASE but I didn't see the regular uncirculated W which would be the burnished ASE.

Being it IS an Anniversary year too, .... 1986-2026 .
Since you brought it up Morgan, it was always a curiosity to me as to the date the Mint decides to celebrate the n*5th anniversary of the ASE. What I mean is, the USM decided to celebrate 10 years of the ASE in 1995, which really was its 10th year of issue, but ever since then they used the year afterwards, i.e. it's always been a year ending in 6 or 1: 2006 20th anniversary 3 coin set 2011 25th anniversary 5 coin set 2016 "30th anniversary" incused on every ASE, otherwise no anniversary set 2021 (35th anniversary) didn't have any specific anniversary set, but they did switch to the Type 2 reverse 2026 (40th anniversary) was taken over by the US Semiquincentennial. There was the Congrats P, and there will be a EU later on but no anniversary-specific set Writing all that out it's also interesting the last anniversary set was in 2011. Not that I'm complaining though...there's been plenty of other ASE sets, varieties, and privy marks. 2021 and 2025 were particularly bad with 8 different finish/privy mark/reverse type variations.

TheInfinityPoint, Thanks for Your input, It is My understanding the legislation for the 10th Anniversary was passed in 1995, Making the 10th Anniversary possible. Well Done back History of The American Silver Eagle Series Anniversary dates and the Sets . I am sorry they are Not doing a 40th Anniversary release, On the Anniversary of The Founding of America, 250 years ago......

Quote: I am sorry they are Not doing a 40th Anniversary release, I'm kinda sorry as well, but be careful what you wish for! If the Mint put something like this out,it would cost $520 at the current cost they have them separately. I would feel compelled to purchase and my ASE Collecting Fund would be further depleted.

Very Nice Laser Privy! That one still seems a little odd to me as why the Mint deemed a new process so worthy an event to honor it with its own ASE.

Thank you, Mojojojo. I recently read that the laser engraving is meant to be an anti-counterfeiting measure.

Quote:As I mentioned earlier it is my first laser engraved privy ASE. I must correct myself. The 2026 ASE with the liberty bell privy mark is laser engraved. That was my first.
