I spent about an hour on http://numismatics.org/ocre/identify to try to identify this coin but failed. The coin is bronze and about 23 mm in diameter with a weight of 5.32 g. The only lettering I can make out on the obverse is NSPFAVG. On the reverse I can make out the lettering PARATIO. I think because I could not find it on the website above, it may be Roman Provincial. Can anybody help identify this coin for me? Thanks!

You wouldn't find this coin in any reference just by the legends and design, because it is an overstrike: you're looking at the bull AE1 of Julian II, struck over a FEL TEMP REPARATIO issue of a decade and a half earlier - most likely the hut AE2 of Constantius II or Constans, but could be one of the others.

You can see the beginning of the bull's SECVRITAS REIPVB legend at around 8h-12h on the reverse. The two designs had almost exactly matched in positioning, so they overlap each other; the faint shadow next to the portrait on the obverse could be the undertype portrait.

Interesting coin! I don't recall having seen one of those before (and I couldn't quickly find anything similar on Google either), but I don't know a lot about the coinage of the period.

The undertype is a FEL TEMP galley for Constans. Like below, though I am not sure of the mint.

The overstrike is most likely unofficial.

The positioning of the legend relative to the person rules out the galley type, I think. I still think it's the hut but it could be a fallen horseman?
[EDIT: I've misread the reverse; the legs belong to the bull, not to the person. The galley type is indeed a good match. Unfortunately the mintmark is obliterated.]

But I hadn't realized that the legend at 2h goes NS PF AVG, which does uniquely identify Constans for the undertype.

What a delightfully strange coin, I've never seen one like that before.
