Never seen anything quite like it and can't find any info regarding anything like this. Almost seems like it could be damage but there's also random seemingly extra raised spots and dots in a few other places. Any info would help. Report this Post to the Staff

If the plating gets split or the zinc core gets exposed, the air will just eat away at it, causing what you see here. Eventually, it will completely rot away and form a hole through the coin.
