There was an odd size roll of 25 Denver 2009 Nickels on ebay. I have never seen a roll that size. I've seen 20 nickel rolls $1.00 and the normal $2.00 40 coin rolls. I think I have seen odd 50 coin rolls which would be $2.50. I am almost sure I saw those even recently. Never saw 25 in a roll.

The roll I saw on ebay was ended early, It had started at .99 cents and the highest bid of all was $100.00 but all bids were cancelled. Wasn't $100.00 enough?
I just don't get it. Maybe these were not 2009 and there was a mistake in the listing?
This was brought to my attention by another CCF member and that was cool of that member to think of me as this interests me a lot.

As I went to find the listing, I checked completed auctions.
Seems there are some more that ended selling as high or getting as high bids up to best offer $165.00
Here is a link to that auction. [eBayItem]170375851664[/eBayItem]
The roll looked like this ...
Perhaps it is someones own roll made from a printer file and taped?

INSANE!
There are considerably more 2009 D nickels minted than the 2009 P.
The Federal Reserves just are slow in releasing them.

I received 2 2009 P nickels in change this week in south Florida. They were both pretty worn to be this year's. They're circulating someplace.

There's a coin dealer in Colorado Springs who has boxes full of
Westward Journey Nickels in those "World Reserve Monetary Exchange" 25-ct. white rolls.

Those are the rolls that you get with the 'free' safe, in W.R.M.E.'s
infamous 'Free Safe (with 'Ballistic' Coin Rolls)' print ad ...

Read this!

Of course, if W.R.M.E. would fill the (cheap) safe with 160 25-ct.
rolls of 2009-D Nickels, at the moment you could easily make a profit
on ebay even after paying their horrendous markup!

That W.R.M.E advert article spoke of Bisons which I think were 2005 nickels did it not?
I never fell for junk like that .... yet

I haven't seen any '09 Nickels, Dimes or Quarters in Okieland yet. That's right, not even Quarters. Will wait until the price comes down a bit. Guess I don't understand the need to have something right now, patience is still a virtue I've heard.

The coin dealer I speak of has all varieties of the 2004-2006
Westward Journey Nickel series in those white 25-Ct. wrappers.
ie: 2004 Peace Medal P/D, 2004 Keelboat P/D,
2005 Bison P/D, 2005 Ocean P/D, 2006 P/D

The 'Free Safe' ad did feature the Bison Nickel rolls, but who
knows what other offers that they may have run in print media?

Got my first 2009 P in a roll this weekend. As some others have pointed out, it looks quite worn for a 2009 coin. I'm beginning to wonder about quality control at the mint since many of the 2009 cents seem to have spotting and I've seen a number of complaints from people about quality control being lax.

Here in Ohio, we have 4 coin depositories. The lady at Chase says:The mint only wants new coins sent to merchants. That was after Wal-mart told me they get theirs from Chase and I should go there.

Here it is September 10, and I still haven't seen a 2009 nickel or dime in circulation. The only 2009 nickel I have is a Philadelphia mint sent from a CCF friend, and nothing on dimes yet. Every time I go to a bank I ask for any 2009 nickels or dimes, and I'm sure the tellers dread seeing me coming in the building.

The 2009 Lincoln cents appear from time to time and the 2009 quarters are plentiful, but it's those elusive nickels and dimes that's driving me crazy!
