1964_d-Lincoln-Cent-BIE-Question?

Would this BIE be considered from the top of the disturbance to the bottom of disturbance or just where the metal is exposed? I never understood that.Sorry I thought the photo was closer than that.

That actually looks more like a lamination, but did it start at the top or the bottom is a good question.

I'm not sure I understand the question.

Are you asking to see where this one falls in the BIE nomenclature?

Here's the link to Cuds-on-coins for BIE's for those interested.

This one does not have enough of a die chip to be a full BIE, so it would be an associated type in Cohen nomenclature. It does not show up in Cohen so check COC and if it's not there you have yet another discovery coin!

You the man! it's worded so much better your way (and I mean that) I guess after reading this I should ask if this is considered less than half or 3/4 if I am understanding the number and letter system

I think my photo is a bad angle most of that metal is raised. I don't know if that changes anything.
