@thum, for some circulation hits, metal is "smushed" up around the periphery of the hit. I suspect that you have this situation for both of your quarters.

Added: also I've fixed the date on the title as it doesn't match the quarters in these pics.

I'm not seeing it, but even if it is, a tiny chip is very common and isn't worth a premium over face.
