I think the best comments are on "Ben the Coin Geek" Youtube video. Ben is a nice guy and honest dealer. I got to spend a little time with him a few months ago in Dallas at the Texas Numismatic Association coin show. We talked shop and I gave him a book to give away on his channel to a kid.

Never underestimate people's love for stickers.
Stacks should create a larger slab to put over the existing slab. That would preserve the existing slab and stickers while giving more room for new stickers on the Stacks slab.
I'm just a simple caveman numismatist, but I think I want all my slabs to look like a race car with 400 sponsor stickers on it.

I think Ben (in the video) handles it really well, he is game to try the newest service out, and as a dealer, why not? Stack's has a long, long impressive history in the coin business. David Hall is one of the top dealer/wholeseller, and industry innovator creating the top tier TPG PCGS. The pair together (Stack's partnered with Q. David Bowers) is really the cream of the crop along with Heritage and a few other independent coin firms that have the power and money to make a service like this viable.
It's a wait and see to watch how this will unfold over the next few years. As a dealer I'd rather be in on the ground floor early, than trying to join up after the service is over subscribed, so easy to see why Ben would want to try them (CMQ) out in the beginning.
But then again I'm not one that needs every coin I own to be certified, I trust my own eye and my own knowledge in the coin biz. I'm not a coin dealer any more, but if I was, I'd also be standing in line to try CMQ out as well.

Well certainly we need a meta-slab for the rare slab collectors who collect the old slabs by generation. The meta-slab grades the condition of the slab. Is it scratched? Is the label well-centered? Was the dot matrix printer ribbon early or late ink state? Then there would be stickers on the meta-slab telling us whether the grade of the old slab is A, B or C for the grade, has exceptional eye appeal, etc.
I think this is an interesting development. It is certainly an alternative for those like me who never signed up for CAC and seemingly will not be able to. Perhaps they are looking to take over for CAC since JA suggested the stickering business will close. I would like to see them sticker older generation if not all ANACS holders.
You are misinformed. CAC membership ( stickering ) is currently closed for new members. Once they are open for new membership an announcement will be made. Plans are for CAC to continue stickering into 2033. You can still have your coins graded by CACG.
