I am Thrilled with the series, frustrated the 40th Anniversary date was Not celebrated, In any way......................

I'm with you! Considering the way they made the play for cashing in on the 250th, you would think they wouldn't pass up the opportunity to make more $$. I would love to have seen something like this:

Please explain, My Friend,...

Mintage numbers don't always translate to high resale value.

A low mintage might seem appealing, but if there's no demand, does it really matter?

Take the Bush Reverse Proof as an example—despite a mintage of 11,543, it doesn't have tremendous resale value.

The 1995 W has a slightly higher mintage than the 2019 S Reverse Proof, yet it sells for three times more than the 2019.

The 2008/07 was a lower mintage than the 2020 W v75 but the 2020 is passing it in resale value

The mint released more of the proof issue Eagles this morning. I was able to pick one up after missing the sale earlier this year completely.

Thanks Boba,

In the instance of the Bush Reverse Proof, Imo, I do not think that coin is a Must have or in strong demand, However,

In the American Silver Eagles Series, any serious collector has no choice but to have Any mint marked ASE in their collection, If that is what they choose to do, While demand does play a role in Any series, It matters Always in the ASE's, In my opinion.

Die hard collectors will stop @ Nothing to be completely up to date in a 40 year old series, There is Comfort in that, Demand is Not for everyone, but in a series It Always Matters..

Thank You for your reply.....

You speaking from the perspective of a person that has been collecting ASEs

But if you look at like a new collector of ASEs, such as I was about 2 years ago, you might think differently

I think in less than 5 years this is how the resale values will shake out for the top 5 ASEs

1995 W - RAW or PF69 - $3000

2019 S Rev PF - $1200

2020 W v75 - $1000

2008/07 - $400

2026 P - $200 - $400 (maybe, it might just become as common as any other interesting variation)

The 2020 v75 has a mintage of 75,000........

How does the little bird whispering in Your ear explain the Sudden interest and added additional premiums as a result, If I may?

I do not see this " top 5 " coins You are commenting about doing anything but Rising up like Most collectibles in The future,

At least that's what I Hope for....
