PCGS - Tape toning often appears on commemorative. Clean, cross-like lines separate brown toning from the silver fields on this 1950-S Booker T. Washington Half Dollar - leaving behind a coin that undoubtedly stuns commemorative collectors this Toner Tuesday.

I wonder if the coin spent extended time taped into this type of solicitation/promotional piece:

1946 Booker T Washington Memorial Ephemera II

Or, perhsps a 1952 Christmas card?

I've seen many toned taped coins, but this one is the most dramatic by far!
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

This is spectacular toning but I'm not a fan of the look.
