I'll take a guess. I'm probably wrong, but 1940.

The distinctive die cracks would be a strong diagnostic to any specialist who studies this series based on varieties and errors. I am not such a specialist - so my guess is somewhere between 1909 and 1958.

That's got to be a 1922-D.

There are no VDB initials on the reverse, so It's got to be 1909-1917. I'm also no expert on those die cracks, so I'll say 1915.

Quote: There are no VDB initials on the reverse, so It's got to be 1909-1917. VDB was on the reverse only in 1909*. The initials were removed, and in 1918 reappeared on the obverse at the base of Lincoln's shoulder. *There is one at least one 1910 LWC with residual VDB due to incomplete removal of the initials: https://scvhistory.com/scvhistory/s...r051008.html

Well, it looks as if several of you have bragging rights, Zurie, Aurelius, and grizzlybear706! It is indeed 1922-D and this was a reverse I wanted to find, and I grade it personally XF-45ish

I missed the contest but enjoyed it non the less. I also liked the link Jondo Bogus shared about the VDB reverse on 1910 coins.
