Looking for recommendations regarding coin microscope. I am new to collecting and made the mistake of buying a microscope from Amazon for about 40 Dollars. The thing was terrible. Wouldn't focus on anything other than a very very small area of the coin. And when it did focus I was lost on the coin. I want to capture high definition images of any coin while also being able to view more than just the tip of one number, and more than vast blank spaces.

I have yet to find a "microscope" that can consistently take good pictures of full coins. Cellphone cameras are getting better but they are still far behind even an inexpensive "real" camera system.

Agreed. I see improvements in coin photo quality with every new phone I buy. My current phone has a macro lens and that has helped a lot. However, these photos are still not quite as good as one I took with my wife's DSLR over 15 years ago.
