walk2dwater Pillar of the Community Canada 2571 Posts	Posted 10/11/2023 5:10 pm Nice set of 79's Enyaw! As a series, I feel the 1979 $5.00 & $20.00 notes don't get the respect they deserve. I think this is partly due to the fact that they shifted the serial numbers on the reverse & they ran along the same time as the BIRDS series. I could care less about fancy serial numbers. Collecting them borders on belief in some system of numerology. Every number is as likely as any other in a series. I first started buying sequential notes on ebay about twenty years ago, pictures then were terrible, it was kind of like buying "sight unseen". Sequentials rarely grade less than EF+ so bidding on them as EF+ priced notes was cost effective. Now it's a habit that's hard to break and a more unsuccessful strategy as years go by.
