Interesting to see some dealers are prepared for tomorrow's bun fight using methods that the RAM just don't seem to want to do. Expressions of interest or ballots would save a lot of angst for both the buyers and the poor RAM phone operators. Why is the RAM so determined to treat us this way? I have tried emailing RAM twice recently but cannot get a reply. Thank goodness for responsible and understanding dealers. I will throw my hat in the ring with dealers and see how I go. RAM can go jump. Even tried looking at their site for more info (in response to their advertising email) and I was sent into that stupid queue it system. Forget it. Queue up just to read info? Someone there is obviously determined to stick with that stupid queue system - must have paid a fortune for it and are trying to make it work and justify it?. Tomorrow's RAM facebook page is going to be interesting to read. Popcorn at the ready! good luck everyone.

What are your thoughts on the RAM latest ballot system. I wouldn't be going with it as you have to give them your credit card details for payment if you are succesful plus a fee of over 2% on top of the release price.
*Sales have stopped* Sales of the 35th Anniversary of the Two Dollar Coin Uncirculated Fourteen-Coin Collection have now concluded. They will no longer be available for purchase from the Royal Australian Mint onsite coin shop and call centre. Based on customer feedback received on-site today, and the above average weather forecast for the next few days, we have decided to move sales online. The remaining stock of this product will be sold through a ballot system. The Mint will be partnering with EQL, an online commerce platform that helps manage the launch of exclusive products. We have been working with EQL for many months now to meet our need for a better, fairer system to make our products available to the Australian community. We have been investigating options to improve the way we release coins and fairly distribute them to passionate collectors Australia-wide. The implementation of EQL will mitigate ongoing problems such as website crashing, slow loading times, competing with bots and guarantees secure personal and payment details for customers. Our aim is to ensure the coin release ballot solution gives all Australians equal opportunity to access our highly sought after collectible coins. The Mint acknowledges that 2023 has been a challenge for many collectors and we thank you for your continued support and patience. We are very excited about deploying the EQL solution and we look forward to sharing a new era of fair purchasing with all Australians. We hoped to present EQL earlier, however this is a significant change that needed to be managed diligently to ensure it provides the benefits we anticipate as well as complying with legislative requirements. This has taken some time, however we want to get it right and we believe that the outcome will be worth the wait. We are very close to finalising our agreement with EQL, and we will advise you as soon as we confirm time and date for the ballot. Wynyards had the same ballot system for the New Releases on Thursday, EQL. Tried to purchase from other dealers but had the ever ill fated problems of bots ,and crashing websites yet again. No more trying to buy from these dealers for me. They can stick their coins where the sun don't shine. Bring on the ballot system.

I could not even find this set on their website on release day yet somehow they have sold 50+ sets 1 day later on ebay for more than double the price. Max Stern. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/296096238550Cheapest today, guess that's why they are selling. I.S. Wright(my good friends) have sold 88 sets at $599.99 as of 5.30 with more available. Can't post a link for some reason.

Thanks jens coins, I tried their website on release day and the set was no where to be found as usual. Same as Downies and Max Stern. I used to buy a lot of new releases from Coin Collect also ,been trying for the last 2 years, log in early and wait for the clock to tick over , then when I click on the product it has a melt down and nothing happens, sick to death of it. At least it was easy to find the product on their website

Oh my!
