adam126402 Pillar of the Community United States 880 Posts	Posted 10/29/2023 01:09 am One other thing about this eBayer, alisons coins, you'll notice that all listings are private so when you look at the feedback you don't know what was sold unless the person leaving the feedback mentions what they bought. This wasn't a "fluke", this is the seller's intent - shipping counterfeits and using photos of real coins. In the app, I see many negatives about counterfeits (several neutrals as well), but using the website, it only appears to show past year. But this seller using the multiple accounts I mentioned above, has been doing this for a decade. Your feedback may help future buyers, even if it will never get this guy shut down. More reasons why CCF is one of the most valuable resources for any collector, I had no idea this was a fake, only that the color was off relative to the level of wear on the coin. Thanks to IGE, Everest, Indian Hoarder, RedRaider, Raymo52 and IndianGoldEagle as now I know what to look for in the future. If I'd gotten the coin I was bidding on (as pictured) I'd have been very happy. I'm in debt to this site and all of you for your knowledge and willingness to share it.
