I think at this point I would say yes until they saturate the market and have coins sit unsold for awhile. I am hoping they at least make them from different mints/finishes or make them much more limited (like less than 100k per release) 250k for RP and 400k for proof seems high.
US Mint ran into the same issue years ago with the Palladium coins. The 2018 proof dropped with like 15k mintage at $1300 and then the next year it was 30k mintage priced at $2300. Made those coins available for years afterwards. I think it was available up until earlier this year. Every year after that it dropped more and more down in mintage. The RP 2022 was $2000 and mintage of 7500.

I have subscriptions for ASE Proof W and S. I'll decide on everything else when the time comes.

This will be my last year doing the 3-coin commemorative sets. Excited about Tubman, and I'm sure Greatest Gen will be nice too. But each year I get both of my kids one set apiece, and with two commems in a year that adds up to about $3,000 total. I've since begun to put away money for them each month into Treasury bonds. And rather than having a safe full of coins for them when I'm gone, I want them to also get 30+ years of savings done for them (hopefully, anyway.)

Having the proof and rp Morgan and Peace as an annual release makes no sense to me. They already made too many this year and I can't justify paying buying these since they may lose half their value over the next 5 years

I am not sure if I will continue the Morgan and Peace reverse proof subscription, since the 2023 set will satisfy my type collection.

Many people were ranting about the stupid high mintages at the mint. I hope they listened.

Interesting to me that everyone is already tired of the Morgan and Peace dollars. I'm thinking subsequent years will end up being low mintages due to demand. I plan on keeping my subscriptions - at least for now.

Quote:As expected, the Morgan & Peace dollar Two-Coin Reverse Proof Set is an annual release. Yup. I'll be changing my qty from 2 to 1. If they lower next year's mintage to say 100k then I may pick it up again.

I will probably cancel my morgan/peace reverse proof subscription. I like them but don't need multiple years. I wouldn't mind keeping up with the regular strike but the price is just too high.

Looks like the mintage limit for the 2024 Reverse Proof Morgan/Peace is out now. It went UP from 250,000 to 262,500... However the Proof ones dropped from 400,000 to 300,000.
Looks like I will pass on the 2024 RP set next year as it wont have much appeal comparative to the current year.

It would be nice if they took the foot off the gas and limited the production on ASEs.

I see the morgan's and Peace dollars are being OVER PRODUCED AGAIN. Not all that collectable now.

I'm going to keep the ASEs on subscription. I might keep the Peace dollars, but the Morgans I'll be cancelling. On the fence regarding the RP set for next year.
