As with every contest, you must have the 50 post minimum required for PMs in order to participate.
Also, you must be somewhere I can mail to from the US.
It's been a while since I've done a contest so I've been looking forward to a good milestone to hold one. Unfortunately the timing is not perfect. I am not currently at home to delve deep into my hoard for some good contest prizes, so the quality of the potential prizes is not as high as I would like. But considering my posting trends it will definitely be a while until I hit 5000, so it's now or never.
I want this to be fun for everyone and be something anyone would want to participate in regardless of if there was a prize or not, so this will be a
show-and-tell contest!
I have generated a random year from 1900-1999 on random.org (I have a timestamped screenshot of this year for the conclusion of the contest) and I want you to post pictures of coins in your collection from this 100-year span.
You can post
1 coin per day starting
tomorrow, October 31st.
It can be
any coin but it 1) must be in
your collection and 2) must be dated to a specific year, no multi year coins.
The first person who posts a coin from the year I randomly pulled on random.org will win a prize of their choice.
I will not announce when there is a winner right away. I will wait until the following day to allow for more coins to be showed and telled.
Now for the prizes:
The winner can choose one (1) of the following coins:
1. Olbia Dolphin (500-300 BC)
2. Trajan Roman Sestertius (98-117 AD)
3. Gallienus Roman Antoninianus (260-268 AD)
4. Ivan Stratsimir Bulgarian Grosh (1356-1396 AD)
5. 2006-P 25c Colorado Reverse
Cud6. 2022-P 25c Maya Angelou VDDR-002
(I chose a very diverse set of prizes, hopefully there's something there interesting to everyone)

Good luck! I can't wait to see what coins you all share!
